I never thought I'd hear myself saying those words, but it's true, the Doctor is back and he's horny!
It's been a quiet week, hence no updates since last Sunday, but now, halfway through the Easter weekend and the moment I have been waiting for for so long, the new series, (Season 27 actually) of Doctor Who has returned to our screens. It's been a long time since I last sat back on a Saturday night waiting to be scared shitless, and yes, I'm ignoring those last few years of the series when it was bounced around midweek, Doctor Who was just made for a Saturday night, and this new series has now taken me back to my childhood of watching Jon Pertwee. Christopher Ecclestone is brilliant in the role of The Doctor, and horny as hell with it which will certainly see a Season 28 and more I am sure. I have only 3 minor concerns though, the use of CGI, although used well just wasn't the ethos of the original, you really can't beat a bit of tinfoil and bubblewrap for a traditional scarey moment. Also the fact that this series appears to be a different story each week, what's wrong with having a good cliffhanger each week and making a story last a few episodes, but I guess that will remain to be seen. And lastly, on a more pedantic note, surely the props people could have got the telephone number on the Estate Agents boards in the correct format, (the scene when Mickey is waiting for Rose in his car). London phone numbers should be shown as 020 7*** **** not as 0207 *** ****. But seeing as The Doctor is a timelord, maybe that scene was shot a few years back, in which case it's forgivable I guess!
